Vyshinsky thanks OSCE rep he has not met yet - TV

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - The head of the RIA Novosti Ukraine news website, Kirill Vyshinsky, who was released by Ukraine and has since arrived in Moscow, thanked the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's representative Harlem Desir for support.

"I want to say thank you to someone I have never seen in my life. It is Harlem Desir, the OSCE representative on freedom of the media," Vyshinsky told the Rossiya-24 (VGTRK) television channel.

"Regularly, almost before every court hearing, [Desir] asked the Ukrainian authorities to release me.

"Desir said that a journalist should not be jailed, that this was wrong. I subscribe to this."

No matter what a journalist's name is, the OSCE always "reacts acutely to everything happening in the world" Vyshinsky said.

"I could feel that there were people by my side, who remembered me and cared about me. Because I am the journalist Kirill Vyshinsky who was unfairly arrested," he said.
