Average voter turnout tops 40% on Sept 8 - Pamfilova
MOSCOW. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Average voter turnout grew 3.5% to 41.2% in the September 8 elections, Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC) Chairperson Ella Pamfilova said.
"The final average turnout reached 41.2% in the elections of the authorities and heads of administrative centers in Russian constituent territories," Pamfilova said at a press conference on Monday.
"Compared to the previous unified voting day, which took place in 2018 and saw a voter turnout of 37.6% [...], this time the turnout was 3.5% higher," Pamfilova said.
