Zelensky says values freedom of speech, not going to close media outlets
KYIV. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he values freedom of speech and his power does not extend to "closing TV channels."
"I really respect each channel, including News One. I've never closed a single channel in my life. I personally value freedom of speech, and you know that perfectly well. I will never close any channels in my life, I don't have the right to do so, I don't have the powers," Zelensky said in reply to a question from a journalist from News One while visiting the Rivne region on Tuesday.
