DPR reports railroad mining incident in Donetsk

DONETSK. Sept 12 (Interfax) - An improvised explosive device has been found on the railroad tracks near the Mushketovo station in Donetsk, the State Security Ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) said in a statement.

"As a result of operative procedures aimed to uncover and prevent sabotage by Ukrainian security services, the DPR State Security Ministry found an improvised explosive device planted on the railroad tracks near the Mushketovo station," the statement said.

The bomb was defused and taken to the DPR Interior Ministry for analysis, it said.

"According to preliminary information, the bomb was due to go off under a train and destroy the track near a switch, which would have derailed the train," the statement said.
