Unknown individual damages real estate, vehicles on territory of Russian trade mission in London - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - An unknown individual has entered the territory of the Russian trade mission in London, as a result of which its real estate and vehicles were damaged, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"An unknown individual illegally entered our trade mission in London in the past few days, as a result of which the real estate and cars of our mission were damaged," Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.
Moscow immediately contacted the British authorities, demanding the observation of the obligations under the Vienna Convention to protect missions and investigate the case, she said.
"The embassy has received a response from the London police. We do hope it is not a final answer, but an interim one, but the response we have received has disheartened us. It said the case has no prospects and will most likely be closed. And that is despite the fact that the embassy has provided the British authorities with recordings from the security cameras," Zakharova said.
