Turkey's Erdogan to attend Turkic Council summit in Baku on Oct 15
BAKU. Sept 19 (Interfax) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Azerbaijan in October to attend a summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) in Baku, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral told Interfax.
"President Erdogan will attend the 7th summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States to be hosted by Baku on October 15, 2019," he said.
The participants in the summit are expected to discuss steps to establish the Turkic countries' chamber of commerce and industry and joint investment fund. The summit will also include a business forum.
The Turkic Council currently includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey. Hungary holds observer status with this organization.
