Zelensky appoints new head of Ukraine's SVR
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Valeriy Yevdokimov, deputy director of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), as the service's director.
The relevant decrees were published on the presidential website on September 20.
Yevdokimov became the service's deputy director in July. He headed a department in the Ukrainian State Border Service's administration in 2013.
On September 12, Zelensky relieved Vladyslav Bukharev of his duties as director of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service and appointed him first deputy head of the Security Service (SBU) and head of the SBU's Main Directorate for Corruption and Organized Crime Counteraction.
