DONGUZ RANGE (Orenburg region). Sept 20 (Interfax) - Russian Tupolev Tu-22M3 long-range bombers and Chinese Xian H-6 bombers have dropped over 150 bombs during the main stage of the Center 2019 strategic command-and-staff exercise at the Donguz training range.

"The planes have dropped over 150 250-kg bombs and hit motor and armored vehicles of the mock enemy," a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry told the press on Friday.

Russian MiG-31 multirole fighter jets escorted the Tupolev Tu-22M3 long-range bombers.

Meanwhile, over 20 Su-34 fighter-bombers dropped about 300 250-kg high-explosive bombs on the mock enemy, the ministry said, and twenty-four Su-24 fighter-bombers hit the mock enemy's air defense. "Crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers engaged the Khibiny defense system to penetrate the enemy's defense and to destroy air defense missile systems, strategic sites, and armored vehicles by dropping about 300 250-kg high-explosive bombs," the ministry said.
