Uzbek president set to visit Russia in early 2020
TASHKENT. Sept 21 (Interfax) - Preparations for a Russian visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev were discussed at a meeting between Russian First Deputy Prime Minister, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and Uzbek government officials on Friday, the official Uzbek media said.
The sides "addressed preparations for a Russian visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, which is due in early 2020, and elaboration of a package of documents to broaden mutually advantageous cooperation, including strategic investment projects," the media said.
In addition, the sides analyzed implementation of the agreements reached during state visits of the two chiefs of state and other high-level meeting, as well as measures to be taken for their timely and complete fulfillment.
The sides exchanged opinions on ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in most important areas, such as interaction between Uzbekistan and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
They indicated the high level of bilateral relations based on mutual benefit and trust, and a substantial potential for their further extension, the media said.
