Putin invites INTOSAI to join initiative to create int'l database

MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested that the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) join the idea of creating an open international database.

In his speech at the 23rd Congress of the INTOSAI in Moscow, Putin spoke about the idea of creating a database comprising the best practices, successful cases, and development projects in the economic, social, and demographic spheres, the area of budget policy, and state and municipal administration.

"Dear colleagues, I invite the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions and the countries you represent to join this initiative," Putin said.

He spoke about the importance of permanent increase of the professional level of auditors, their expertise, and exchange of experience.

Putin suggested creating an international open database with the best development projects in his speech at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. He said that Russia is ready to place on such an information platform its successful cases in the economic, social, and demographic spheres.
