Former Federation Council member Arashukov to stay in custody until year-end

MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Moscow's Basmanny District Court extended the period of custody of the former Federation Council member representing Karachay-Cherkessia, Rauf Arashukov, until December 30 on Wednesday.

"The court found that the motion of the investigation shall be upheld. [...] The court ruled to extend the period of Arashukov's custody until December 30, 2019," Judge Artur Karpov said, reading the ruling.

The court also ruled to extend the period of custody of the ex-lawmaker's father, Raul Arashukov, former advisor to Gazprom Mezhregiongaz director general, and former Gazprom Gazoraspredeleniye Stavropol CEO Nikolai Romanov until the same date.
