Kyiv amassing forces in Donbas - LPR

LUHANSK. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Kyiv is amassing its forces and strengthening its positions along the contact line in Donbas, spokesman for the militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Ivan Filiponenko told reporters on Thursday.

"In spite of the truce agreements, the command of the so-called JFO [Kyiv's Joint Forces Operation in Donbas] continues amassing forces and military hardware in the vicinity of the contact line," he said.

LPR reconnaissance spotted the arrival of an armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle in the Kyiv-controlled village of Stary Aidar, he said.

"Furthermore, measures to further equip their positions have been observed near the village of Troitske in the zone of responsibility of the 59th brigade. An excavation vehicle crew from the 48th engineer brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has arrived there to help," he said.
