Yatseniuk's press secretary denies reports on his possible appointment as Ukrainian 1st deputy PM

KYIV. Oct 2 (Interfax) - No negotiations are being held on the possible appointment of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, the leader of the Popular Front party, to a high post in the incumbent government, Yatseniuk's press secretary Olga Lappo said.

"Social media and media have lately circulated reports that Arseniy Yatseniuk may occupy the office of first deputy prime minister of Ukraine. As the Popular Front leader's press secretary, I state officially: this information is untrue. No negotiations are being held or planned on Arseniy Yatseniuk's joining the incumbent government," Lappo said on Facebook on Wednesday.

Media had said earlier that Yatseniuk was being considered as a candidate for the office of first deputy prime minister in the government led by Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
