U.S. ambassador to Russia confirms mission completion

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - United States Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman said he is leaving Moscow on Wednesday.

" I visited Paul Whelan 9 months ago, just a day or two after he was arrested; I've been here since then, and on my last day with only hours to go before departing Russia, I wanted once again to visit Paul Whelan," Huntsman told journalists after visiting the American accused of espionage at the Lefortovo jail in Moscow on Wednesday.
