AvtoVAZ's ex-VP for sales Ptacek to head Renault Russia
MOSCOW. Oct 7 (Interfax) - AvtoVAZ's former executive vice president for sales and marketing, Jan Ptacek, will become the head of Renault Russia on November 1, the latter company said in a statement.
He will replace Andrei Pankov, who is leaving the company "for personal reasons."
"In his work, Jan Ptacek, will report to Nicolas Maure, the senior vice president and operating director for the Eurasia region of Groupe Renault," the statement reads.
Ptacek has been with the group for over 20 years and has held managing sales and marketing positions in the Czech Republic, France, Ukraine, and Romania. In 2008-12, he was Renault Russia's marketing director. He has held his current position at AvtoVAZ (Renault owns 66.2% through the Netherlands' Rostec Auto B.V. and Rostec owns 33.8%) since 2016.
