Russia, Bulgaria increase trade in agricultural goods 20% to $40 mln in Jan-Aug

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Trade in agricultural goods between Russia and Bulgaria grew by 20% to $40 million in the first eight months of 2019, the Russian Agriculture Ministry reported after a meeting between ministry head Dmitry Patrushev and Bulgarian Food and Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva.

"The trade turnover in agricultural products between Russia and Bulgaria continues to demonstrate a positive dynamic. Russian companies are prepared to increase supplies of grain, oil and fat products, confectionery products, as well as prepared food products to the Bulgarian market," Patrushev said.

The ministers also discussed cooperation between their ministries on veterinary and phytosanitary oversight and combatting African swine fever.
