Claims of numerous accidents involving Russian spacecraft are stereotype - Rogozin

MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Claims of numerous accidents involving Russian spacecraft are a stereotype; Roscosmos has seen no accidents for a long time, head of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin said during a press briefing.

"I want to point out that it is a stereotype that our spacecraft keep crashing. We have long fixed that," Rogozin said when asked what he could tell space industry veterans concerned about the industry's current condition.

There have always been accidents related to space missions, but no one mentioned them, Rogozin said. Only 17 out of 54 Soviet lunar missions were successful, he said.
