Russia condemns sanctions against Venezuela - Volodin
MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) -Russia condemns any interference in Venezuela's internal affairs, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said.
"We, for our part, condemn unilateral sanctions targeting Venezuela and view them as unacceptable. We also condemn interference in the sovereign affairs of Venezuela," Volodin said at a meeting with Venezuelan National Constituent Assembly Chairman Diosdado Cabello Rondon.
Sanctions and interference in domestic affairs prompt crises which are starting to affect an ever-growing number of people, he said.
"These sanctions and interference in sovereign affairs target not only Venezuela or Syria, but also many other countries. It is also happening in Asia and on other continents. In our opinion, it is unacceptable," Volodin said.
