Shoigu to deliver speech at Beijing Xiangshan forum
BEIJING. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived to China, where he will attend the Beijing Xiangshan Forum on Monday and deliver a speech at its plenary session, the Russian defense minister's spokesperson, Rossiyana Markovskaya, told reporters.
"Representatives of the top leadership, defense ministers and leading experts from the countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, as well as those from a number of European countries take part in the forum," Markovskaya said.
The Beijing Xiangshan Forum, which is arranged by the China Association for Military Science and the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, is "an authoritative, high-level international event," she said.
China has been hosting the forum since 2006.
