Georgia, UK sign strategic partnership agreement - Georgian Foreign Ministry
TBILISI. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab signed an agreement on strategic partnership and cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in London on Monday, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The agreement will replace the association agreement between Georgia and the European Union in the bilateral relations with the UK after the UK leaves the EU. The document covers a broad range of cooperation and creates a legal foundation for strategic partnership, as well as helping maintain a free trade regime between Georgia and the UK, the statement said.
