Russian companies present capabilities in sphere of railway transport in India
MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Companies participating in the "Russian Initiative in the Field of Railway Transportation in India" presented their capabilities to potential customers and partners and representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Ministry of Railways in New Delhi on Wednesday, Russian Railways (RZD) said.
RZD, Sinara - Transport Machines, RZD International, EXIAR, and Elteza took part in the event, which was organized with support from Sberbank .
Participants discussed the development of the North-South corridor and the modernization of the Secunderabad-Nagpur line to boost the speed of passenger trains to 200 kilometers per hour.
RZD and RZD International also presented information about logistics products and services, the implementation of international projects, a digital railway project being used in Russia, advanced rolling stock, and more.
The five countries listed above, as well as Sberbank and NIIAS, signed the initiative on September 4.
The sides expressed readiness to work together on infrastructure projects in India the involving design, construction, and renovation of railway infrastructure and the delivery and localization of railway equipment and material.
