Zelensky pledges to finalize inquiries into high-profile corruption cases, murders in Ukraine
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he has no doubt that inquiries into high-profile murder and corruption cases will be duly finalized and culprits will be held liable.
"I believe that high-profile corruption cases and the murders of Pavel Sheremet, Kateryna Handziuk, and other civil activists will be properly investigated, and everyone guilty will be punished," Zelensky said at the investment forum RE: think. Invest in Ukraine in Mariupol on Tuesday.
He said that the Ukrainian authorities were cleaning the Prosecutor General's Office of corruption, reforming the Ukrainian Security Service, and supporting the independence of anti-corruption bodies, such as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, and the National Bureau of Investigation.
