Moscow hopes for situation in northern Syria not to harm Russian tourists in Turkey - Grushko

MOSCOW. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Russia is following the security situation for Russian tourists in Turkey in light of the events in northern Syria, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said on Tuesday.

"We hope that nothing will harm the health and security of our tourists. We are closely monitoring the situation surrounding the physical security of our tourists [in Turkey]," he told reporters in Moscow.

Grushko said he hopes for developments in northern Syria "not to have a negative effect on the situation" of Russian tourists in Turkey.
