Moscow concerned about pending Ukrainian exercise in Kherson region

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The pending military exercise in Ukraine's Kherson region worries Russia, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko told the press on Wednesday.

"Any exercise held close to our territory, our borders cannot help but cause concern," Rudenko said in response to the relevant question.

The Ukrainian Air Force command said on Tuesday that a tactical exercise including live fire drills of Buk-M1 and S-300PT air defense missile systems would take place in the Kherson region from October 31 till November 4. According to the statement, the airspace and Black Sea waters will be closed for the exercise period.
