MAGAS, Ingushetia. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Investigative agencies have identified the prime suspect in the killing of chief of the anti-extremism center at the Interior Ministry of Ingushetia Ibragim Eldzharkiyev and his brother Abdulakhmed, an informed source told Interfax on Wednesday.
"Law enforcement agencies are searching for Kureish Kartoyev, a 46-year-old native of Ingushetia, on suspicion of killing Ibragim Eldzharkiyev and his brother Abdulakhmed," the source said.
The investigation has concluded tentatively that, after committing the crime in Moscow, the suspect left for Dagestan on a regular intercity bus on November 5, it said.
"The suspect may be armed. There is a possibility that he may be in Ingushetia's territory," the source said.
Interfax has yet to obtain official confirmation of this information.
Eldzharkiyev was killed in Moscow on November 2. His brother Abdulakhmed, who worked as a doctor at a Moscow hospital, also died at the killer's hand.
