U.S. media reports on Russia meddling in Madagascar election aren't true - Peskov
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Reports from some U.S. media outlets that Russia allegedly interfered in the presidential election in Madagascar are completely false, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"I can resolutely deny this. It's a pet practice now, accusing Russia of interfering here, there, and everywhere. Such reports aren't true," Peskov said, responding to journalists' request to comment on an article in The New York Times.
Russia has said on numerous occasions that it strongly opposes any interference in its internal affairs and has never interfered in the internal affairs of other countries, he said.
