Voter turnout in Belarusian parliamentary election tops 37% as of 9:00 a.m. - CEC
MINSK. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Over 37% of voters in Belarus cast their ballots in parliamentary elections as of 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Central Elections Commission Chairperson Lydia Yermoshina said.
"So, 37.14% of voters cast their ballots as of 9 o'clock in the morning," Yermoshina said at a news briefing in Minsk on Sunday.
As many as 35.77% of voters cast their ballots during the early voting period that concluded at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, she said.
