Council of the EU approves decision on issuance of visas to citizens of Belarus

MINSK. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The Council of the European Union has approved a decision on signing an agreement with Minsk to facilitate visa issuance. The text of the relevant decree issued by the Council of the European Union on October 14, 2019, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Monday.

The text of the agreement will be published along with the official decision on its signing, the report said.

According to earlier reports, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko decided to sign agreements with the EU on facilitating the issuance of visas and readmission in September.

The signing of the agreements will facilitate the issuance of Schengen visas to Belarusian citizens and will reduce their cost from 60 euros to 35 euros.
