Ukrainian FM, Lithuanian Seimas speaker discuss bilateral cooperation
KYIV. Nov 19 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko and Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis have discussed bilateral cooperation, the press service of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said on its website on Monday evening.
"Viktoras Pranckietis assured Ukraine of firm support on the part of Lithuania, including within international organizations [...] The speaker also stressed that at talks with international partners deputies of the Seimas have constantly been raising the issue of the need to extend political support to Ukraine in its struggle to restore territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders," the ministry said.
The parties also exchanged opinions on coordination of steps within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and synchronized their stance on the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.
