Berlin welcomes EU-Russian-Ukrainian talks on gas - Foreign Ministry spokesman

BERLIN. Nov 20 (Interfax) - German Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rainer Breul has welcomed the EU-Russian-Ukrainian trilateral talks on gas.

"We welcome this initiative of trilateral contacts and welcome the fact that the European Commission is dealing with this," Breul said in reply to a question from Interfax on Wednesday.

The main thing Berlin is expecting is for Russia and Ukraine to reach a common solution, Breul said. "We expect both parties to come to a solution," he said.
