Cargo ferry service resumes between Turkey, Crimea

SIMFEROPOL. Nov 22 (Interfax) - The cargo ferry service between Crimea and Turkey, which was disrupted some time ago, has resumed, the director of the Southern Regional Center for Export Support, Natalya Serova, told Interfax on Friday.

"The cargo ferry service has resumed, for exporters this is an opportunity to work," Serova said, without saying which ports ferries will be running between.

"There was no service for nearly a year," she said.

Turkey, which does not recognize the Russian status of Crimea, earlier banned all vessels departing the peninsula from calling at its ports.
