Russian military police continue patrolling in northeastern Syria supported by army aviation - reconciliation center

HMEIMIM, Syria. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The Russian military police and the army aviation continued their patrol missions in the north and northeast of Syria on Friday, head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Maj. Gen. Yury Borenkov said at a briefing.

"The army aviation conducted aerial patrol on the route Kuweires - Kobane - Metras -height 509 - Kweires," Borenkov said.

"Russian military police units continued patrols along the Arada-Kabirah - Qaramaniya route in the Al-Hasakah Governorate, the Ain Issa - Shwihan route in the Raqqa Governorate, and the Ajami - Manbij and Ajami - Karakozaq routes in the Aleppo Governorate," he said.

However, illegal armed units are continuing to breach the ceasefire in the Idlib de-escalation area, Borenkov said.

"A total of 30 instances of shelling were recorded in the past day. Militants from illegal armed units attacked the populated localities of Aleppo, Sabiqiyah, Kaddarah, Binyamin, and Makanis al-Dwairi in the Aleppo Governorate, Kuhbaniya, Kermel, Kalaz-Tahtania, Saraf, Nakhshebah, and Mamukhiya in the Latakia Governorate, el-Haruka and al-Jayed in the Hama Governorate, Sukkoriya, Sidhi-Ali, Um al Rjim, Ajaz, al-Fhail, Nikha, Luaibda, Qefrarya, and Sharjah in the Idlib Governorate," he said.
