Baku, Moscow have capabilities to boost military-technical cooperation - Aliyev

BAKU. Nov 26 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sees various opportunities to enhance cooperation with Russia, specifically military-technical interaction.

Receiving Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov in Baku on Tuesday, Aliyev stressed positive momentum in expanding military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.

"Each of your visits to Baku in particular provides an opportunity to again discuss military cooperation, military-technical cooperation, which is developing very successfully, and outline ways for further interaction next year. We think that there is an opportunity to build up the potential of cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan in traditional and new trends."

At the meeting, the parties discussed the problems of international and regional security, as well as topical issues of military and military-technical cooperation, including the interaction between the defense agencies in the Caspian Sea region.
