Aeroflot calls tender for 12-yr lease of three A350, to pay up to $743 mln

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Aeroflot has announced a 12-year sale-and-leaseback tender for three long-haul Airbus A350-900 that it ordered back in 2007, according to procurement information.

The plans must be delivered between February and May 2020 and the airline will pay up to $743 million for them.

Aeroflot ordered 22 Airbus A350 in 2007. Its strategy says that the airline will take delivery of six of them in 2023 and that there will be 30 of them in 2023.

The Extra Wide Body A350-900 can carry up to 325-440 passengers. Aeroflot is the only Russia airline to have ordered such planes. Other operators include Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and Finnair.
