St. Petersburg courts evacuated over bomb alerts for 2nd day in row
ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Courts in St. Petersburg have received messages about planted bombs for the second day in a row.
This time, the Primorsky and Vyborgsky district courts received reports of bombs, the unified press service for the city courts said.
On Thursday, people were evacuated from a number of St. Petersburg courts following anonymous bomb reports. None of them were confirmed. According to the unified press service, the authors of anonymous letters containing threats demanded that businessman Konstantin Malofeyev pay a substantial amount of bitcoins.
A source in the law enforcement agencies told Interfax that 1,329 people were evacuated from St. Petersburg courts on Thursday.
