Lukashenko to engage new Belarusian parliament in work on constitutional amendments

MINSK. Dec 5 (Interfax) - The new Belarusian parliament is bound to get involved in the work on constitutional amendments, according to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.

"The Seventh Parliament is due to join the work on projects, which lie in the plane of global political decisions. We have a number of problems that should be resolved jointly, on the basis of the Fundamental Law. So, it seems that the new parliament is bound to join the effort towards upgrading the Constitution," the presidential press service quoted Lukashenko as saying in his address to deputies of the old and new Belarusian parliaments on Thursday.
