MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russia harvested 120 million tonnes of grain in 2019, according to preliminary data, Deputy Agriculture Minister Yelena Fastova said at the Agriholdings 2019 conference in Moscow.
"As for crop growing, we have after all increased the grain harvest to 120 million tonnes," she said.
Russia harvested 113.3 million tonnes of grain in 2018.
Fastova told reporters on the sidelines of the conference that the wheat harvest was around 75 million tonnes, up from 72.1 million tonnes in 2018.
Agricultural output will rise 2% this year, Fastova said at the conference. The AgMin earlier forecast 1%-1.5% growth. "We see that the overall agricultural output index for 2019 is 102%, that is we have growth of 2% compared with 2018," Fastova said.
