Normandy-format summit could be 'cold shower' for Zelensky - Chesnakov

MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - Kyiv has high expectations of the Normandy-format summit in Kyiv, while the meeting of the four chiefs of state might be "a cold shower" for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Center for Current Politics Director Alexei Chesnakov said in an interview with the television channel Rossiya 24 (VGTRK).

"They [the expectations] are extremely high, primarily for the Ukraine side, which has been airing new versions of its 'wishes' practically every day. I think today's meeting could be 'a cold shower' for Mr. Zelensky," Chesnakov said.

"Neither Russia, nor Germany, nor France can disregard the existent interpretation of the Minsk Agreements for fear of losing face," he said.
