False fire alarm goes off on board ISS
MOSCOW. Dec 23 (Interfax) - A false fire alarm has gone off in the Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS), the Roscosmos press service told Interfax.
"A false fire alarm went off. Everything is proceeding normally now," the press service said.
In April, a false fire alarm went off on board the United States' Cygnus cargo spacecraft docked with the ISS. A glitch in the air filtering system occurred following the incident.
In 1997, a fire occurred on board Russia's Mir space station. It was caused by the ignition of a canister of the solid-fuel oxygen generator.
