Russian, Vietnamese prime ministers discuss bilateral trade and economic cooperation

MOSCOW. Dec 24 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc discussed vital issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in a telephone conversation on Tuesday, the press service for the Russian government said in a statement.

"The two heads of government discussed topical issues of Russian-Vietnamese trade and economic cooperation as well as progress on pursuing joint projects in industry, energy, the agro-industrial sector, and in other spheres," the statement said.

The phone call took place at Vietnam's initiative, the statement said.
