Nord Stream 2 project concerns only countries involved in it geographically, financially - Zakharova

MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project is a European matter, which has nothing to do with the United States, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"I would understand talks about Washington's involvement in these matters, if Nord Stream 2 had somehow affected the territory owned by the U.S. Actually, it's a European matter. It concerns no one but the countries geographically and financially involved in this project," Zakharova said in an interview with the Mezhdunarodnoye Obozrenie (International Review) television program on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
