Russian, Iranian FMs to discuss JCPOA situation, Syria

MOSCOW. Dec 29 (Interfax) - Talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Iranian counterpart Javad Zarif will be held in Moscow on December 30.

The two foreign ministers "will pay close attention to international issues, including the situation surrounding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program, Syrian settlement, the situation in the Persian Gulf region and to other regional issues," the Russian Foreign Ministry information and press department said in a commentary posted on the ministry's website on Sunday.

The parties "are planning to discuss a broad range of issues of Russian-Iranian cooperation, including trade and economic and energy cooperation with a focus on progress of pursuing corresponding bilateral projects," the commentary reads.
