Opposition activists have no intention of leaving building of Abkhaz presidential administration, to wait for court decision on election
SUKHUM. Jan 9 (Interfax) - Opposition activists protesting in front of the building of the Abkhaz presidential administration have said they have no intention of leaving.
The activists intend to wait for a decision made by the cassation board of the Supreme Court on the lawsuit filed by Alkhas Kvitsinia, former presidential candidate of Abkhazia, seeking the invalidation of the outcome of the second round of the presidential election.
The meeting of the cassation board of the Supreme Court began at noon on Thursday.
There are currently over 1,000 people on the square in front of the presidential administration. The protesters are periodically clashing with the security guards of the presidential administration and the president's supporters.
