Moscow expects ESA head in March - Roscosmos
MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - A meeting between the general director of Roscosmos and the head of the European Space Agency (ESA) is planned for March this year and will take place in Moscow, the press service of the state corporation said in a statement.
"Roscosmos confirms agreement on a telephone conversation between its General Director Dmitry Rogozin and the head of the European Space Agency Johann-Dietrich Woerner planned for February 3," the statement said.
"The sides will discuss current cooperation issues. We will also be glad to welcome Mr. Woerner in Moscow in March," it said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Woerner said at a press conference in Paris that he planned to meet Rogozin in the near future.
Woerner told Interfax last August that the ESA was prepared to sign an agreement with Roscosmos to continue the use of Russia's Soyuz space vehicles.
Rogozin also spoke of instructions to draft an agreement with the ESA on the use of Russian manned spaceships for the delivery of European astronauts to the International Space Station.
