Crew error in difficult weather conditions possible cause of incident with SSJ 100 plane at Domodedovo - source

MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - The human element in conditions of low visibility is being considered among possible causes of an incident involving a Sukhoi Superjet in Domodedovo, an informed source told Interfax.

"All theories will be studied during the investigation, the pilots will be questioned. However, the main theory is presently actions of the crew in difficult weather conditions. The pilots could have found visibility in the area of the runway to be insufficient and made a mistake," the source said.

The plane was on a charter flight from Sabetta to Moscow. It made a standard landing on a non-operational runway at Domodedovo.

Interfax does not have official confirmation of this information.
