Putin praises previous govt for contributions toward future development
MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - The previous Russian government created a good foundation for further national development, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"The previous government did a lot to create a foundation for future development. First of all, and primarily, it of course created very good macroeconomic conditions. Without this, there would be no economic development at all, and consequently, no results in the social sphere," Putin told the new cabinet on Tuesday.
The previous government did a lot to create a toolkit for implementing national projects, he said.
"The previous government worked very hard on this. These are workable tools and worthy objectives," Putin said.
"You have everything to achieve them to the benefit of the interests of our country and our people," he said.
