Russian fish catch up 18% as of Jan 22 - fisheries agency

Moscow. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Russian fishermen saw the catch of fish and other bioresources rise 18.3% (38,000 tonnes) year-on-year as of January 22 to 244,130 tonnes, the federal fisheries agency, Rosrybolovstvo reported.

In the waters of foreign states, convention areas and the open waters of the global ocean, the catch fell 12% year-on-year to 16,800 tonnes of fish.
