Suspension of AZAL flights to Beijing not due to coronavirus but to low demand - company president's assistant
BAKU. Jan 27 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) temporarily suspends flights on the route Baku-Beijing-Baku in February every year, Pasha Kesamanski, public relations assistant to the president of AZAL, told Interfax.
"Fights to Beijing will be traditionally suspended in February, as in previous years. This is due to low demand because of the holidays in this country," Kesamanski said.
He denied media reports stating that the suspension of flights in February was due to the spread of coronavirus in China.
"AZAL will resume flights on the route Baku - Beijing - Baku on March 8," Kesamanski said.
