Almost half of Russians favor more active economic cooperation with Belarus - poll
MOSCOW. Jan 28 (Interfax) - Less than a third of Russians (28%) deem the current level of economic cooperation between Russia and Belarus to be sufficient, the Levada Analytical Center said in a statement seen by Interfax.
At the same time, 44% percent of respondents spoke in favor of more energetic bilateral economic cooperation, and 13% called for a closer union of Russia and Belarus under the single administration.
Ten percent of respondents told Levada that Belarus should become a part of Russia.
Levada polled 1,608 persons aged 18 and over in 137 populated localities in 50 constituent territories from December 12 to 18, 2019.
