Ukraine boosted oil imports 3.1% in 2019, coal imports fell 1.4%

KYIV. Jan 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine boosted its imports of oil and petroleum feedstock (FEACN 2709) by 3.1% in 2019, to 790,628 tonnes.

According to the State Customs Service, imports totaled $405.748 million, 6% less than in 2018.

Azerbaijan accounted for $309.443 million (76.3%), the U.S. for $90.999 (22.4%), Kazakhstan for $2.596 million (0.6%), and other countries for $2.71 million (0.67%).

Ukraine exported 103 tonnes of oil and petroleum feedstock for $0.053 million last year. All of it went to Latvia in June.

Imports of bituminous coal and anthracite (FEACN 2701) fell 1.4%, to 21.082 million tonnes.

Coal imports fell 7.2% to $2.816 billion. Russia accounted for $1.638 billion (58.2%), the U.S. for $888.485 million (31.55%), Kazakhstan for $134.228 million (4.8%), and other countries for $154.912 million (5.5%).

Ukraine exported 14,938 tonnes of bituminous coal and anthracite for $0.724 million, including to Moldova ($0.585 million), Hungary ($0.103 million), Poland ($0.032 million), and other countries ($0.004 million).
